"Thanks Telstra but I can't turn my tap on now"

A NEW South Wales woman has taken to Facebook to complain about her Telstra broadband box, which she says has been installed on top of her tap.

Tammy Marti from the Central Coast of NSW posted the photo last Saturday with the caption: "Thanks for installing my NBN Telstra....But I can't turn my water tap on now!"

Two days later Telstra replied: "Apologies for the delay in response Tammy. Are you still needing a hand? We're happy to assist or at least point you in the right direction for help. -Shannon."

Ms Marti responded: "Yes please. I need someone to come and move the Telstra box so I can turn my tap on."

Telstra then recommended she get in contact with their fault team.

Ms Marti said she had and that she was waiting on a call back to organise a technician to come out and fix it.

"This was after I was asked if I authorised the original guy to install the box, trying to make it sound like it was my fault for letting him do it. I politely said I was not responsible for supervising the guy," she wrote.

"My concern is that it's going to be a very hot week and I can't water my front garden."

It hasn't been confirmed who installed the box but the issue has now been resolved.

Ms Marti told ARM on Saturday an NBN contractor was sent out following her complaints.

"I complained to Telstra, they passed the complaint onto NBN, NBN sent a contractor back out to fix [it]."

The contractor moved the broadband box "a little to the left and covered up the cord".
