PM's school funding comment rankles Neumann
BLAIR MP Shayne Neumann said people could no longer trust PM Malcolm Turnbull and the Liberals on school funding or education.
Mr Neumann drew attention to an interview with Malcolm Turnbull where he said there was a "very powerful case" for giving state governments total responsibility for payments to state schools from income tax revenue.
"First the Liberals broke their 2013 election promise when they walked away from Labor's Gonski needs-based school funding model," Mr Neumann said.
"In Blair, that Liberal broken promise will see $288 million cut from local schools over the next decade."
