Save with these school holiday activities

THERE are plenty of free and low-cost events and activities on offer to keep kids busy in their final week of school holidays.

Head along to Ipswich Art Gallery to see Swamp Juice with internationally acclaimed puppeteer Jeff Achtem.

His show features upcycled shadow puppets made from bits of rubbish as he presents a tale about life in a swamp with a spectacular 3D shadow puppet finale.

Bookings for this event are a must so log on to ipswichartgallery.com.au

For kids who prefer something a little more mysterious, Nickleby the Magician performs at Brassall Shopping Centre this week daily until Saturday.

Ipswich Library also has plenty on offer as part of its school holiday program.

Families with children six and under can head along to Ipswich Central Library today for a free Story Time session at 10.30-11.15am.

Later in the day Redbank Plaza Library will host Stardust Story Time from 6.15pm-6.45pm.

For movie buffs, Ipswich Central Library will host a showing of Finding Nemo tomorrow morning in the Barry Jones Auditorium.

Tickets for the film, which will be shown tomorrow from 10am-11.40am, cost $1.20 each and can be purchased from any branch of Ipswich Libraries.
