Rudd inspects salvage progress
PRIME Minister Kevin Rudd arrived in Rockhampton this morning and has inspected the salvage progress of the Shen Neng 1.
The vessel ran aground at Douglas Shoal, about 70km east of Great Keppel Island on Saturday.
Maritime Safety Queensland has confirmed that one of the fuel tanks is ruptured and salvors yesterday were attempting to place a boom around the Shen Neng 1.
