Road blocked after three-vehicle crash

UPDATE 5PM: Two people have been taken to hospital following a three vehicle crash in Purga. 

Emergency services worked to free one person who was trapped inside a vehicle. They were taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition with a minor head injury.

A second person was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with minor head and spinal injuries. 

Two other people were assessed at the scene but declined transport. 

Ipswich-Boonah Rd remains closed and diversions are in place. 

EARLIER: FOUR people are being assessed by paramedics and a road has been completely blocked after a three-vehicle crash, this afternoon.   

One person was still trapped in their vehicle at 3pm following a crash on Ipswich Boonah Rd at around 2.30pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said one of the vehicles had rolled.   

Police advised motorists to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
