Police warn residents to be on guard
RURAL residents are being reminded to secure their belongings following a number of thefts from properties in the Toowoomba and Gatton areas in recent weeks.
Police located two vehicles, five motorbikes, a ride on mower and various other items believed to be stolen from break and enter jobs in the Goondiwindi, Wyreema, Gatton and Toowoomba areas after executing a search warrant at an address in Helidon on Wednesday.
Officers of the South Eastern Region Stock and Rural Crime Squad investigating the thefts are urging residents to record the serial numbers and details of their vehicles and be on the look out for any suspicious activity or behaviour in the area.
