Police seize cocaine, ice and cash in Whitsunday drug bust
Detectives have seized a huge haul of drugs and cash after police raided five properties across the Whitsunday.
A 22-year-old Airlie Beach man is facing nine charges including trafficking and two counts of supplying dangerous drugs.
Officers seized $43,000 in cash, 22kg of marijuana, 41 grams of ice and 89 grams of cocaine when police executed five search warrants on May 6 across the Whitsundays.
The man has also been charged with unlawful possession of a category R weapon (conductive energy device) and possessing property suspected of being the proceeds of crime.
He was refused police bail and appeared in Proserpine Magistrates Court on Friday.
Detective Inspector Tom Armitt said Whitsunday's police were dedicated to preventing drug related crime in the community and would continue to target drug offenders.
"We rely on the public to assist us and strongly encourage members of the community to report any information relating to crime in our community," Detective Inspector Armitt said.
