POLICE are looking for two people believed to have information about a string of burglaries in Ipswich last week.

Ipswich detectives investigating a number of break-ins in the Ipswich area on Thursday and Friday released images of a man and woman who may be able to assist them with their investigations.

Sometime between 9.30am and 5.30pm on Thursday a white 1990 Holden Jackaroo four-wheel-drive with NSW registration plate AD61VU was stolen from the Booval Railway Station.

The four-wheel-drive, being driven by a man and woman, was then seen at two overnight break-ins at Ipswich businesses.

The first break-in occurred between 5.30pm yesterday and 8am on Friday morning at a hair and beauty warehouse in South Station Rd, Raceview. Thieves stole cash and property after a door lock was damaged for them to gain access.

Also on Friday morning a window was smashed and a door lock damaged at a wholesale business on Brisbane Rd, Newtown where cash and property were again taken.

Ipswich detectives also believe a break-in at a pool shop on Brisbane Rd, Newtown, sometime overnight on January 28-29 is also linked.

Police are urging anyone who recognises the man or woman, or who may see the vehicle, to contact Crime Stoppers.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
