NAIDOC Week Celebrations at Briggs Road Sports Centre on Thursday will be a great opportunity for the whole community to come together to celebrate local Ipswich indigenous culture.
Council's culture and community services chair Cr Charlie Pisasale said the celebrations, which kick off at 10am, were always a great day out.

"The official theme for this year's celebrations is 'We all Stand on Sacred Ground: Learn, Respect and Celebrate'
"As in previous years, a huge community day of celebration will be supported by a number of community organisations, service providers and government agencies and include arts, craft and information stalls as well as food, entertainment and free children's rides."
"Ipswich City Council in partnership with Kambu Health Service would like to welcome everyone to attend this year's wonderful event.
"The day will have something for everyone information stalls for parents and visitors, children's rides and food stall for those feeling a little hungry."
"An amazing line up of live entertainment will include well established artists including Getano Bann and Joe Geia and supported by local acts and traditional dancers.
"This is going to be a great day out and I wish the whole community the best of luck for a fantastic event," Cr Pisasale said.
