Monkeying around at film event

GIANT elephants, lions and animals of all kinds have been calling Limelight home this week as part of the cinemas' Zoofari film festival.

Children and parents alike have been enjoying the classic movies being shown as part of the festival these school holidays.

Limelight Cinemas Queensland marketing and events manager Roshon Georgas said the movie screenings provided families with a value-for-money day out in Ipswich.

"We are running Zoofari to offer additional, value-added entertainment options for families in the Ipswich area," he said.

"Families love seeing the classic films, particularly those that haven't screened on the big screen in Ipswich previously.

"It's a fun family event, with parents introducing their children to some of the films that they grew up with."

Tickets to the Zoofari screenings are only $5 each and there will be face painting and children's activities on offer to keep young minds busy.

Classic movies such as Dumbo, Happy Feet, Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar are showing this week until the end of the school holidays.
