Man from Boronia Heights killed in early morning crash
LATEST, 11.20AM: POLICE have confirmed a man died following a traffic crash in Wanora early this morning.
Just after 5am, a motorcycle and a vehicle travelling on the Brisbane Valley Highway, collided at the intersection of Wanora Rd.
The 52-year-old male rider from Boronia Heights was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The 43-year-old male driver of the vehicle, from Glamorgan Vale, was taken to hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
Brisbane Valley Highway will remain closed at Wanora until at least midday today as officers tend to the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
UPDATE, 10.30AM: A MAN has died following a collision involving a motorcycle and another vehicle this morning.
Police say the 52-year-old man was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Wanora Rd and the Brisbane Valley Hwy at Wanora.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person from the other vehicle involved was taken to Ipswich Hospital with minor injuries.
The Ipswich Forensic Crash Unit is investigating. The crash scene has been closed and is expected to remain blocked until at least noon today, police say.
EARLIER: A MAN has been treated for critical injuries this morning after a motorcycle and two-vehicle crash.
The crash occurred on the Brisbane Valley Hwy and Wanora Rd at 5.25am this morning.
A second patient was transported in a stable condition to Ipswich Hospital.
