Kick the Kilos and keep your software!

Want to have your steps count towards Ipswich's Kick The Kilos but don't want to stop using your existing fitness band's software?

If you don't want to switch apps on your phone, here's an easy way to link your existing fitness band and apps to the Strava app which records Ipswich's activity for the length of the campaign.

Instructions below cover the three most popular bands and most popular food app, so simply download the Strava app, click on 'Clubs' and search for 'QT Kick The Kilos' to get started, then follow the instructions below to link your existing software to your Strava account and hey presto…you're linked!

To link your accounts: Visit and click 'Connect'.

You'll be prompted to log into your Strava account.

When prompted, authorize Strava to connect to your Fitbit account and follow the onscreen instructions.



Go to and login to your Strava account.

Click the red + button in the top right corner.

Select the "Get Started" button under the Garmin logo. A dialog will pop-up asking you to connect with Garmin. Select the "Connect with Garmin" button.

A new browser window will pop-up to set-up the authorization for Strava to access your Garmin Connect account through the Connect API. Enter you Garmin Connect account credentials and click "Sign In". The browser window should automatically close.

You will be left with the original Strava browser window. Strava should tell you: Success!  Your Garmin Connect account is linked to Strava.



To authorize your UP from within your Strava settings, just hover your mouse over your name at the top-right corner of any Strava page and click Settings from the drop-down menu - or go straight to

At the lower-right corner of that page, click 'Connect with Jawbone Up.'  Then, enter your UP username and password, and click to allow the connection.

Go to Settings on or your mobile device. Select 'Link Other Services' and connect to MyFitnessPal.
