Hervey Bay real estate whiz is in state's top 1%

HERVEY BAY real estate dynamo Jacqueline Farag has been named in the top 1% of real estate agents in Queensland as she returns to the local real-estate game with Elders.

CoreLogic's "A-List" showing Queensland's top 1% of real estate agents judged the agents on their sales performance and listing performance.

All of the A-Listers, including Ms Farag, had a sale performance that was 12 times better than the other agents in their markets and an average 15 times better listing performance too.

Jacqueline has been in the real estate business for eight years and said she was proud to see her hard work had paid off.

"I was really surprised to be on the A-List," Ms Farag said.

"But it felt good to know that all my hard work had paid off and to be acknowledged for what I do."

She said most of the other agents in the top 1% were from the city, and she was proud to represent the regional areas.

"Three quarters were from Brisbane, a further 10% from the Gold Coast and then the rest of us were regional," she said.

"Some from Cairns, some from near Gladstone and then myself."

While she told the Chronicle she did not want to give all of her secrets to success away, she said she believed in "treating people the way you want to be treated" when it came to business.

"I believe in what I do, and if you give a genuine service then it can make a difference," she said.

"People like me as a person and in a small town clients talk to each other, so your reputation is more important here than in a bigger city."

Ms Farag said her good client communication also helped put her above the rest.

"I always ring people back because it's important that you keep your finger on the pulse," she said.

The extra attention she gives to her clients as well as her genuine service have definitely paid off for her as she already has five listings with Elders despite only being there for three weeks.
