Ipswich swimmer wins bronze at state titles
REGIONAL swimmers have made pleasing starts to state titles campaigns, setting a number of personal bests.
Hazel Hogan (Waterworx) won a bronze medal in the 11-12 years 200m breaststroke at the Queensland championships at Chandler.
International competitor Leah Neale finished sixth in the open 200m freestyle final.
Jayden Allum (Ipswich Grammar) also made a final, coming seventh in the 13 years 200m breaststroke.
Thirteen of 20 local swimmers recorded personal best times.
The championships continue this week.
