
Ipswich club's superb state success
ATHLETICS: Ipswich Little Athletics Centre competitors performed strongly to win 17 medals at the recent Queensland Relay Championships at QSAC.
Ipswich's team of 75 athletes exceeded expectations at such a strong competition against teams from around the state.
Ipswich's under-12 Girls Swedish Medley team won gold, setting a new Queensland record time of 2:39.93.
The centre's medal tally featured five gold, seven silver and five bronze medals.
Gold medal winners
U11 Girls 4x100m: Ellexis Butterfield, Shanikah Smith, Mia Piantoni and Dakota Wenzel-Stephan.
U12 Girls 4x100m: Savannah Bucknell, Monique Williams, Kamara Stewart and Kate Brent.
U12 Girls Swedish Relay: Monique Williams, Rylee Novinetz, Sophie Moore and Savannah Bucknell.
U13 Girls high jump: Toby Stolberg and Clare Bellingham.
U14 Girls Shot Put: Sophie Wilkins and Aldora Tuilaepa.

Silver medals
U9 Girls 4x200m: Leah Leembruggen, Mikaela Learoyd, Maisie Bucknell and Ruby Mudd.
U9 Girls high jump: Addison Hayne and Jordan Reid.
U9 Girls shot put: Hayley Windolf and Jordan Reid.
U11 Girls Swedish Relay: Mia Piantoni, Tiana Parsons, Dakota Wenzel-Stephan and Ellexis Butterfield.
U11 Girls long jump: Dakota Wenzel-Stephan and Tiana Parsons.
U12 Girls long jump: Kamara Stewart and Sophie Moore.
U16 Girls discus: Laylani Va'ai and Dahniella Pedroni.
