Ipswich City's boost for duel with Moggill

FOOTBALL: The Ipswich City Bulls welcome back key defender Chris Denman for Saturday night's vital Capital League 1 match against Moggill.

The experienced Denman returns after he needed stitches in his leg from a work accident.

That is a boost for the team heading to Bellbowrie for the 6pm main game.

The sixth-placed Bulls need to keep winning to maintain their top four final hopes.

Chris Speranza returns for the Reserve Grade match at 4pm after completing a three-match suspension.

Joel Munn is also back in the Bulls Reserve Grade side after being out for two months with injury.

"That definitely boosts our squad and gives us more options off the bench,'' head coach Norbert Duga said.

However, captain Mark Fancourt is unavailable due to work, among the eight regulars still out.

After seeing how sharp Moggill were in a recent 3-0 loss in a Canale Cup match, Duga expects his team to be better prepared.

"It should be a cracking game of football between two good sides,'' he said.

CL1: Saturday (6pm) - Ipswich City v Moggill at Bellbowrie; Western Spirit v North Star at O'Callaghan Park.

BWPL: Saturday (5.15pm) - Ipswich City v Annerley at Elder Oval.
