Hundreds join waiting list for new child care centre
WITH hundreds already on a waiting list a new childcare centre set to open at Augustine Heights will be welcomed by parents with open arms.
The centre is set to open in three weeks on May 14 and it will be the second Guardian Early Learning Centre for Greater Springfield.
Operations Manager Katherine Lyttle said the centre was in high demand.
"We have children enrolled already," she said.
There are 135 places available at the beautiful new purpose-built stand alone centre which features five different learning spaces and a spacious outdoor environment featuring natural gardens, climbing structures, natural play structures and water play.
The centre which takes inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach to early learning also has a commercial grade kitchen with a piazza and has onsite parking.
Educators have been going through inductions and small intakes over the first few months will be held until the centre is at capacity.
Once up and running a Queensland approved kindergarten program will also be available.
The centre will open from 6.30am - 6.30pm Monday to Friday and provide five meals a day, nappies and S26 formula.
To join the waiting list or book a tour head to www.guardian.edu.au or phone 13 82 30.
