Chemical spill forces 250m exclusion zone
Four people are being assessed for injuries after a chemical spill at a Sunshine Coast milk factory just after lunch.
Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the Suncoast Milk factory on Netherton St, Nambour at about 1.45pm on Monday.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said a toxic chemical had been spilt.
Multiple fire crews are in attendance.
Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics were assessing four people.
She said they may be suffering from possible symptoms of being exposed to fumes.
The QPS spokeswoman said there is a 250m exclusion zone in all directions.
Road closures are in place.
Traffic is being diverted via Rigby St.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said Sunshine Coast Council officers were also in attendance.
