UCL Draw revealed: Reds’ delight, powerhouses clash

FOOTBALL: Two of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain will fail to make it through to the Champions League quarter-finals, following the Round of 16 draw.

Real Madrid was drawn to face PSG in the round of 16, with Chelsea to play Barcelona.

The former match-up will see Cristiano Ronaldo's defending champions face big-spending PSG's Neymar.

Meanwhile, Liverpool enjoyed a stroke of luck, with Jurgen Klopp's side to face FC Porto in the Round of 16.

The Reds could have been drawn against Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Juventus, but will instead face the Portuguese side.

Liverpool eliminated FC Porto in the 2000/01 UEFA Cup quarter-finals and are unbeaten in all four matches against them.

Manchester United also dodged Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Juventus in drawing Sevilla, as did Manchester City, who will face FC Basel.

Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur will meet for the first time in a European competition, while Basel and Manchester City will also meet for the first time in a European competition.
