Case transfer for teen car thief

A 17-YEAR-OLD who was with a group of youths that allegedly took a stolen pizza delivery car on a 300km joyride was due to face court in Hervey Bay on Thursday.

But Ellen Louise Burgess's charges of robbery with violence and unlawful use of a motor vehicle were adjourned and transferred to the Ipswich Magistrates Court.

Burgess, an Ipswich resident, was with two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, and a 12-year-old when they allegedly robbed a Domino's Pizza delivery man with a stick and took his car, cash and pizzas on June 1.

They were arrested in Hervey Bay the following day.

Burgess will face court in Ipswich on July 19.
