Police widen search for missing man

UPDATE NOON: POLICE have widened the search for an Ipswich man who has not been seen since Tuesday.

SES and police have been searching bushland near Riverview since Wednesday afternoon, in the hope of finding Mark Wilson, 37.

Mr Wilson was last seen at a bouse on Bannerman St, Riverview, about 1.30pm.

Police are not treating his disappearance as suspicious at this stage, but hold grave fears for his wellbeing, as his behaviour is out of character.

He is described as 175cm tall, Aboriginal, of a solid build, with dark brown hair, goatee and moustache.

He was last seen wearing a black polo shirt, a hoodie and red board shorts.

Anyone with information that could assist police can phone Police Link or Crime Stoppers.

EARLIER: THE search continues for an Ipswich man who has been missing for two days.

Police and SES personnel resumed a search this morning around bushland off Conway Street, after they failed to find any signs of him on Wednesday.

At 12.50pm, a Queensland Police spokesperson said today's search had not resulted in any findings yet.

Police say Mark Wilson was last seen at a house on Bannerman St, Riverview about 1.30pm Tuesday. 

Police and family hold concern for Mr Wilson's safety as his behaviour is out of character.
