Bremer building bridges to Korea
A TEACHER from Bremer State High School has taken part in an exchange program designed to forge educational links with Korea.
The Australia-Korea BRIDGE (Building Relationships through Intercultural Dialogue and Growing Engagement) Project establishes partnerships between Australian and Korean schools through a reciprocal exchange of teachers, professional learn-ing and online activities for students.
This project is organised through the Asia Education Foundation, an Australian-based group that supports Australian schools to study about and engage with countries and people in the Asia region.
Bremer teacher Simone Clark said she went to Korea in April and undertook professional development at Chungbuk University.
Ms Clark said she was now reciprocating by hosting her Korean teaching partner Taehyun Choi.
“The students and staff at Bremer SHS have been very welcoming and Taehyun is enjoying her time with us so far,” she said.
