'Basketball IQ' is Kane's key quality
WHILE Kane Bishop appreciates the support he receives, Ipswich Force head coach Chris Riches shares the mutual respect.
"Kane brings a connection to why we have programs like the Queensland Basketball League as an Association,'' Riches said.
"As a local junior who has moved through the various opportunities that the Ipswich Basketball Association has offered, he has now reached the pinnacle of our programs.''
Riches said one of Bishop's best attributes was his basketball IQ.
"He has an exceptional mind for the sport and sees the game through a coach's eyes,'' Riches said.
"Kane helps us by proving leadership on and off the floor, and is still so young as a player and can have a long career within the QBL.
"Kane has a genuine passion for the sport. He juggles family, university, work and basketball each and every week.
"He understands the ups and downs of the sport and wants to be here, win or lose, day-in and day-out.''
Riches applauded Bishop for his work ethic and wanting to help the team establish a successful culture for the future.
