July date for man accused of using kittens in live baiting
A COOMINYA man charged with using kittens for the live baiting of racing greyhounds will appear in court again in July.
James Gregory Harding, 26, faces a further two counts of serious animal cruelty, pre-dating six other similar charges that are also before the courts.
Harding did not appear in person at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday, with the matter adjourned until 2pm on July 1.
The Coominya man is one of 23 people to have been arrested on 65 animal cruelty charges as a result of a special joint task force targeting allegations of live baiting in the greyhound industry.
Another Coominya man, aged 62, will face court on animal cruelty charges on Thursday.
